FAQ

Do I need to register to access this site?
No, you can browse much of the site with No special requirements. If you would like to advertise, submit an Application Bulletin or list a product in Deals & Steals, you will need a User Name and Password which you select when you register. Registration is FREE.

Once I register, am I automatically a member?
Yes, you will be able to access the information in the database using your User Name and Password. However, Filter.com takes 1-2 days to look over the registration before approval into the Directory is made. If your registration is incomplete you will be contacted by email to make appropriate changes. Companies will NOT be listed in the Directory with incomplete information.

Are new registrations still free?
Yes.

How do I make changes to my Directory Listing?
Go to Member Services (found on the left navigation bar). Select "Edit Your Registration" toward the top of the page. You will see your entire registration and can make any changes at NO CHARGE! When finished remember to select the "Submit" button at the end. Your Directory Listing will be removed from the site and reapproved within 1-2 days.

If I register, do I have to be listed on this site?
No. At the beginning of the registration process you can elect to not be included by unchecking a box. If you are currently listed and would like to be removed you can go to Member Services (See Above) and edit your registration.

Where should I go if I am searching for a specific type of filter?
There are 2 main ways to search for a specific type of filter:

Type the name of the filter in the Search box at the upper left hand side of the page and select "Go". A list of comapanies that sell or manufacture that filter will appear as a result.

You can also search for by selecting the "Advanced Search" button, which is located directly below the Search box. Various fields will appear. You can make a selection from one or all of these fields.

What browser should I use to best view Filter.com?
For optimum viewing, we recommend using Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape Navigator 6.2. You can go to the appropriate site and download these for FREE by selecting the above links.

Is the site now complete?
Filter.com is constantly growing and changing to help meet customer needs.

Where can I buy advertising?
In the left hand Navigation Bar of most pages you will find a heading called "Packages". You can find descriptions of the various advertising options shown on this page.

How long do products remain on the Deals and Steals listing?
Products are submitted for a minimum of 6 months. If the product is sold, it can be removed so that inquiries are no longer received.

What is a "token"?
Filter.com sells tokens (worth $1 each) to make buying more convenient for Filter.com members. A credit card is used just one time, while numerous purchases of Application Bulletins or Deals & Steals listings can be made without the need of inputing any credit card information. Plus, the higher the quantity of tokens purchased the greater the discount. Purchase tokens in Member Services.

Which credit cards does Filter.com accept?
Filter.com accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
