Collect the following pieces of information and create the ad yourself meeting the criteria below by using a graphics software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Express, Adobe Page Maker, Aldus Freehand, Hayes Smartcom II, Corel Draw, . . . (You can create ads in Microsoft Word, however, you will not be able to save them in a graphics format such as .gif, .jpeg, or .bmp.)
If you do not have the appropriate graphics software then contact Filter.com for assistance. Have the advertisement sketched out for graphic placement and content placement. See example below:
This should be the best hard copy possible. If you only have a black and white copy and the image is to be colored, make sure you have the Pantone color number so that the color can be matched. This image will be scanned and placed appropriately on the advertisement. We also recommend placing a line completely around the ad to distinguish it from other ads on the same page.
This is what you want the ad to say. If you have the font (type style) you want, that will help. You may want to experiment with several to see what will be easy to read on the web.
You need to make the ad the appropriate size. Below is an example with a chart containing the size information.

BANNER TYPE |
SIZE IN PIXELS |
SIZE IN INCHES |
SIZE IN CM |
RESOLUTION |
Full Banner Ad |
468 x 40 pixels |
6.5 x .556 inches |
16.51 x 1.41 cm |
72 dpi |
The format for the ad can be in .GIF, .JPEG or .BMP. THE FILE NAME SHOULD HAVE NO SPACES.
Once you have these items, if you want, filter.com will assist you in creating your advertisement. You may want only graphics (company logo or picture of product) or only text or a combination.
